into peru

best hotsprings of the trip.... all levels of heat.. an area where we got covered in mud to dry then rinse for the sauna which was a bunch of boards over hot hot hot water filled wwith herbs and then covered with plastic to make sauna conditions.... ended with the best steamed corn on the cob (choclo) with cheese ever!!!
getting closer to catching up.... in cusco now.... more inna week or soo...... mucho amor!!

lago titicaca

lake titicaca is lovely. the ride from la paz was cold and a bit stormy past snow capped peaks and and cool lil villages. the town of copacabana was in full party/festival mode. dont fully understand, but supposedly the fiestas were commenmorating the occasion of Chile taking Bolivia's coastline away and leaving the massive nation landlocked. mmm. regardless, the scene was amazing with folks of all ages out all night.. A mix of latin electronica and marching band music rocked the scene of old mamacitas in their ponchos drinking te con te y chicha but lantern light and men getting sloshed.. good times..

We stayed at a super nice "eco lodge" on the banks of the lake and ate the best trucha fish and ceviche multiple times daily. Going out to Isla del Sol by boat was super sweet and only wished we could of camped out there... Many ruins and ceremonial sites and breathtaking views of peaks and bays etc..

We had a ceremony for tiffa in the last orange tinge of sunset. love

amor eterna.........

LA PAZ BOLIVIA

LA PAZ entering the city and a stall in the witches market......

catchin up again

We all really love Bolivia..

So relaxed, beautiful, fun, mysterious, rugged, tasty, exciting and adventurous. Besides the extremely low octane level in the gas (must add octane booster everytime one fills up) it is a dream to ride in Bolivia..

mas del Saler

full on dreamscape.. total burning man nostalgia.

UYUNI SALT FLATS

El Saler de Uyuni is the brightest spot on earth seen from space. nearly 12,ooo sq. kilometers of white and the occasional island... we rode out to one island in land cruiser and tromped around huge cactus, caves, poppies and even saw the elusive "vinchuca", a rabbit-cat-fox like creature.
